Is there a Hadith that states the Quran has 6666 ayats? Where can I find an English version of Fazail Amal?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My dear brother in Islam as you know that I am a reverted Muslim, some times when I offer my salah I totally get lost that I could not concentrate on my salah and also forget that how may rakah have completed, and as I am desiring to be a hafiz, I had first count the total numbers of surah and ayat in the holy Quran there are 114 surahs and 6236 ayats but I have asked to some Hafiz that there are 6666 ayats and they say that it is narrated in a hadith that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said there are 6666 ayats in the holy Quran. And where can I get English version of Fazail Amal?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1508/1180/B=1433)

(1) When you are in salah, put your eyes at the place of sajdah while standing, on the back of both the feet in ruku and in qadah on your lap while in sajdah at your nose. When you will start offering salah in this way you will not encounter unnecessary thoughts in salah.
(2) It is a blessed and noble intention. You must start it in the name of Allah. If you remember only three ayahs daily then you shall become Hafiz of the holy Quran. There are total 6236 verses in the holy Quran.
(3) You can get English version of Fazail Amal at any book stall near Markaz Nizamuddin Delhi.
