Can we keep a fish aquarium as a show piece in our home?

My brother recently brought a fish aquarium in our home. Is it allowable to have living creature in home as a show piece?

Answer

(Fatwa: 515/377/D=1433)

It is allowed to keep fish aquarium in house for decoration, however one should take great care of food etc.
