Is it permissible for a husband and wife to not talk or communicate with each other without it resulting in talaq?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalam alaikum my wife had been told by some one that if husband and wife does not talk each other and if expenses is not sent is it automatically talaq and if husband is willing to talk to her but because she purposely does not pickup the phone in this case it is one sided avoid. I hope this does not occur as talaq.

Answer

(Fatwa: 2126/H=654/th=1431)

It is unlawful and sin to quit the relationship or breach the rights without any valid reason, but talaq will not take place automatically by it. In short, no talaq took place in any case.
