Is it Halal for me to earn money from selling a general purpose software to banks?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
We have a plan where me and few non-muslim partners wants to develop a software product which is general purpose monitoring of other softwares or Machines, The main purpose and can be usedclients will be banks whereas its a general by any type of organization. I would like to know that the money earned by selling this general purpose software to banks (as banks may pay with interest money) will be Halal for me ? will i get sin for helping banks ? If it is not halal what can be the other way for me to work for this so that my money should be Halal.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1048/594/D=1432)

When the said software may be used for general purpose, then it is lawful to sell it to the banks. The income shall be halal, provided unlawful matters have not been included in that software.
