Will Allah forgive my past sunna prayers if I ask for forgiveness?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I pray salah on a regular basis alhumdulillah, and I know that when praying your fard prayer you only read surah fathia in the last two raka’s in a four raka prayer and I used to do the same for my sunna prayers aswell but i recently found out that this is wrong and should not be done in the sunna prayer as you should pray it full e.g. surah fathia and another surah in all four raka’s, so my question is will Allah still accept my past sunna prayers by asking for forgivness or do I have to do Qada for them, please reply as i don’t know what to do Jazak’Allah khair

Answer

(Fatwa: 741/510/L=1432)

In the case mentioned above, there is no need to make up the sunnah salah, it is sufficient to repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness.
