Can I give my zakah amount to my husband who is in severe debt? I want to clear his little burden of debt by this amount. Can he use this amount to clear his qarz?

According to Shariah a father cannot give his zakah to his son and grandson. And in the same way, a son cannot give his zakah to his father or grandfather and a husband to his wife and vice versa. If you give it in the possession of some poor man and then request him to pay it to the husband from his own side then this shall be lawful.
