Stand when reciting Salat (Durood) and Salaam to Rasoolullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Some Muslims recite Salat (Durood) and Salaam [Blessings and Salutations] upon the Holy Prophet (PBUH): (A) In a standing position (Qiyaam). (B) Using terms of addressing Rasoolullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) directly e.g. Ya Nabi Salaam Alaika!. Explain your answer in the light of authentic hadith?

It is not proved from the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) as well as of Sahaba, Tabiyeen, Tab-e-Tabiyeen, Salaf Salihin to read salat and salam loudly in congregation in the state of qiyam as it is practiced today. It is bi’dah. It is mentioned in hadith that in the beginning the companion knew the method of reciting salam on holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) but they did not know the method of durood. They asked the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) taught them the method of durood to recite durood in the following way:
