Do I need to pay zakat on 97,500 & how to calculate zakat on salary?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have a question regarding zakat. 1) I have 1-lakh in my bank account and I have kept this money to use after 20 years and i paid zakat 2500 last year (2.5%). This year i didn’t made to add in it so the amount with me is 97,500. so do i need to pay zakat again for this amount 97,500. 2)I have local account where my montly salary comes and i also use for my expenses from that account. so how should i calculate the zakat. Jazakumullah..khair

(1) Yes, you will have to pay the zakah on the rest amount of 97500 again.
(2) The time you pay zakah of amount present in your account i.e. on completion of year, at the same time you should pay the zakah of amount present in your salaried account. There is no zakah on the amount that you had spent from it.
