Is it possible for someone to not marry from other than his relatives?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Can a person not marry from other than his relatives, is it mandatory for a Muslim man to marry amongst his own relatives and how far is it justified?

Answer

(Fatwa: 93/93/M=1433)

According to Shariah, it is not mandatory and wajib to marry one’s relatives. One can marry other than one’s relatives. A man is free to marry where he wishes. It is better to marry to one’s suitable match.
