As salaamu ‘alaikum, Can you please let us know, if money from Sadaqa and Zakaat can be loaned for Masjid construction? It is not lawful to give or take the amount of Zakah or sadqah on loan neither for the mosque nor for other jobs but it is wajib on the wakil of zakah that they should spend it on their masraf (poor and needy) and should be absolved of the responsibility.
