Answer

(Fatwa: 1600/1250/B=1431)

The purpose of nikah for husband and wife is to fulfil their sexual desires and to develop the life of taqwa. It is not lawful for the parents of girl to keep her back at their home. It is necessary for them to send her to husband’s house. However, she can visit her parents’ home repeatedly to meet them. After marriage, her home is that of husband, she should stay there. If she wants to stay separately, the husband should make reasonable arrangement.
