I have four young children and my husband is in jail. Is it permissible for me to go to work?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have 3 questions. pls help me. 1.I have 4 young children and my husband is in jail (for terrorist act). I have a brother and few uncles but none of them support me. Is it permissible for me to go to work? I have looked for several jobs which are suitable for me (which i can cover my aurah), but none of them allow me to wear niqaab (face cover). I am living in a kafir country. Can i take off my face cover just for working purpose. I need to feed my children and send them to school. 2. Can my husband force me to take care of his parents and stay with them in a same house? 3. Can my husband ask me and my children to get out from his house and stay with my mom without divorcing me and without my mom’s and my agreement?

Answer

(Fatwa: 455/339=H)

(1) It is allowable to work with open face in case of emergency if there is no fear of any evil.

(2) Forcing her without any insistent excuse is unlawful.

(3) A husband is asked to keep wife with him and behave well with her. He is not allowed to force her to live with her inlaws permanently.
