Who qualifies as a recipient of zakat according to Quran and Hadith?

this is regarding ‘ZAKAT’.I want to know that in our relatives who are entitled to receive zakat and who are not from a man a women. please enlighten me through QURAN and HADIS. Thanking you AZHAR ALI GHAZIABAD, U.P.-201001.

(Fatwa: 2095/H=641/th=1431)

Those who possess wealth equal to nisab or more they are rich according to the Shariah. It is prohibited for them to receive zakah. In the same way, the same ruling shall be applied to the Sayyid family i.e. they are not entitled to receive zakah though they are poor. One cannot give zakah to one’s usul and furu’ (parents and grandparents and children) as well as the spouses to each other.
