Answer
(Fatwa: 1825/117=D/1429)
(a) Allamah Munavi quoted the narration of Ibn Abbas that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) wore kurta above the ankles. Therefore, Allamah Shami has written that one should wear kurta up to half shank. (Khasael Nabvi) .
(b) There was no custom of wearing vest under kurta at that time. Bejori has written that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) had only one kurta.
(c) Shoes prevalent in Arab in those times were not of such type available nowadays; rather they were like slippers, having two laces of leather strips. The shoes of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) were of two laces, and according to some traditions every lace was double. The design of the shoes can be in seen Khasael-e-Nabv, Sharah Shamael Tirmizi.
(d) Hadhrat Rukana (رضى الله عنه) narrates the the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: the difference between us and infidels is that we wear turban upon the cap and they wear it without caps. This means that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to wear turban upon the cap.
