Answer

(Fatwa: 190/190/M=1432)

It is not lawful to do masah on the prevalent cotton and nylon socks because they do not fulfil the conditions that make the masah of socks valid. And those who offer salah after doing masah on cotton and nylon socks their wudhu and salah is invalid. It is not lawful to offer salah behind such persons. Masah is only valid on Khuffain (leather socks).
