Are sons and daughters of the deceased eligible for the tarka, and if so, what is the percentage of distribution?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Request to answer the below question enlighten with hadith & Quran We have received a Tarka for my late mother . We have received this after the expiry of my mother and father. My Father’s family consist of 2 sons and six sisters. All are married and well settled. We have received an amount 300,000 Rupees as for my mother. My question is wheather all my sisters(I mean Brothers & Sisters) are eligible for this tarka of my mother or it’s only for sons. If yes ,to the daughters and sons , I would like to shares in percentage.

Answer

All the brothers and sisters shall be eligible to get inheritance from the property of mother. In the case mentioned above, after due rights preceding inheritance, all the property of your deceased mother (cash etc) shall be divided into ten shares. Each daughter shall get 1-1 share while each son 2-2 shares.
Detail:
Son: 2×2= 4
Daughter: 1×6= 6
Total: 10 Shares
