Q: If a person finds something in the road or river may he use it?

A:If the item has value and the owner would most likely be looking for it then he must look for the owner and cannot use it. If the item has no or very little value and the owner would most likely not be looking for it then he may use it. In both cases if the owner comes and wants the item it has to be returned to him.
