Qadha of Fajr

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: If one is reading qadhaa salaah for Fajr, should one read the 2 sunnats as well or only 2 fardh? Also, if one misses Fajr, what are the forbidden times and when can one perform the Qadha?

A: If Qadhaa of fajr of the day is being made before the time of Thuhr enters, then one should make Qadhaa of both the Sunnats and Fardh. If it is being made after the time of Thuhr has entered or later then only of the Fardh.

The forbidden times for Salaah are: At sunrise till approximately 15 minutes after sunrise. At zawaal i.e. when the sun is at it’s zenith. This is just before the time of Thuhr enters. At sunset.
