Q: What are the rulings on Ta’weez (amulet)? Does it have any benefits and is it considered halaal to use? I feel that reading Ayatul Kursi is sufficient.
A. The use of a Ta’weez is permissible as long as the person has the correct belief; that the Ta’weez can have no effect except with the permission of Allah Ta’aala and the actual doer is Allah.
It is best to stick to e.g. Aayatul Kursi, recital of the Quls and the Masnoon Du’aas. If a person uses a Ta’weez with the correct belief it will be permissible.
