Q: If someone’s husband murders his daughters and then commits suicide, does the iddah apply to the widow? She belongs to well to do family but she wants to work. Can she do that?
A: The Iddah will still apply.
She will not be allowed to work during the Iddah if she is able to sustain herself or family can sustain her.
