Q: What is the correct way to perform Witr namaz (Salaah)?
A: The method of performing three Rakaats Witr Namaaz is as follows:
Perform two Rakaats as is usually done.
After Tashahhud (Attahiyyaat) in the second Rakaat, stand up for the third Rakaat.
Recite Surah Faatihah and Surah in this third Rakaat.
After reciting the Surah, lift the hands to the ears while saying the Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar). Fold the hands again below the navel. Recite the Du’aa Qunoot.
Thereafter make Ruku and complete the Namaaz as normal.
