When I do go back to Durban for a weekend, do I read my Salaah as a traveller or do I make my full Salaah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I am a 28 year old female who has moved from durban to another province in order to persue my studies.

I ant to find out about my salaah. when i do go back to durban for a weekend,  do i read my salaah as a traveller (musafir) or do i make my full salaah?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

Durban is your primary residence (al-watan al-asli). According to Shariah, one will not be considered a Musafir (traveller) when one enters one’s watan al-asli (primary residence). You will therefore perform your complete Salaah when you are in Durban.[1]
