we know that taking and preserving pictures of human and animals not permissible. but what about video? is it permissible?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
There is a difference of opinion amongst contemporary Ulama regarding the permissibility of videotaping or video recording. According to some Ulama, videotaping is a form of photography, which is impermissible.
Due to the severe warnings mentioned in the Ahadith, it is advisable that one practice precaution and refrain from taking pictures or recording video’s.
