Is the following scenario considered as revealing one’s sins to others?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I know a person who suffers from spermatohorrea because of masturbation he feels shy to go to doctor and wants to continue his life with that disease.

Because the doctor may ask how he got and when therefore he will feel embarrassed.

We are also told to conceal our sins .can we tell to doctors in this case???

is he not sinful for neglectING rights of oneself ??

He also suffers from prostrate enlargement for which the doctor will take rectal exam .

If he chose to continue with the disease without showing it to doctor will he be sinful ??

Note the person is financialy well off

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If a person is suffering from any kind of sickness or difficulty that requires medical attention then he should consult a doctor regardless of the reason how the sickness was acquired.

Consulting a medical expert for a sickness that was acquired due to committing a certain sin will not fall under the ambit of revealing one’s sins to others. The person in reference should seek medical help.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
