If a person is spending less than 12 days in Makkah before the 8th of Dhul Hijjah & after Hajj returns to Makkah for a further 5 or 6 days like most people do, will this person be considered a musafir for the purposes of Salah?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, if an individual intends to stay in Makkah for a period of less than 15 days, he will be considered as a musafir. As such, he will have the concession to perform qasr if he performs salah by himself or with fellow musafirs. However, if one intends to stay in Makkah for 15 days or more, he will perform his salah as normal[1]. Furthermore, one will remain as a musafir when going to Mina, ‘Arafah and Muzdalifah during hajj.[2]
