Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is impermissible to give bribes except in certain cases, such as prevention from oppression etc. Accordingly, if a person is being oppressed and the only way to secure his own right is by giving a bribe, it will be permissible.[1]

In principle, Salāh is invalid behind an Imām who holds beliefs that take him out of the fold of Islām. Therefore, it is advised that one refrain from praying behind the Imām in reference, and should pray on his own.[2]
