Is it permissible for a Muslim brother to give Dawah to non – Muslim girls at Campus?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I would like to know that is it permissible for a Muslim boy around the age of 22-23 (studying at University) to spread Islam by engaging in (only) Islamic discussions with Muslim and non-Muslim girls and boys?

And would that boy be eligible for imamat in the local prayer halls at University?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In order for us to advise you. Inform us on the following:

1)     How does the boy engage in dawah with non-Muslim girls?

2)     Is there any dispute regarding him making Imamat? If so why is there a dispute?

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
