I have done a secret nikaah where Qazi was the wali for the girl and 1 male , 2 females from girl relatives ( first Cousins) were the vitness. Is this nikaah valid ? and If it is then can we do nikaah again in front of her parents ?
by inviting all family and friends? Some of my friends told me about a fatwa by shaikh uthaymeen or shaikh tahmiya where it was mentioned that if they married without telling their parents then the nikah is valid and later on they should try convincing their parents. I am unable to view that fatwa now.
Can you please clear this confusion for me.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, the Nikah done in the presence of 1 adult male and 2 adult female witnesses is valid. 1 Rasulullah Salallahu Alahi Wa Sallam advised to ‘announce the Nikah’2. Thus, performing a secret Nikah is against the teachings and advice of Rasulullah Salallahu Alihi Wa Sallam.
If the conditions of Nikah were fulfilled in your secret Nikah, then making another Nikah will be futile and merely a formality as your Nikah is already done. We advise you to explain to your parents your situation. You may also consider asking your local Ulama or some senior members of your family or community to speak to your parents.

و يفتى فى غير الكفاء بعدم جوازه اصلا و هو المختار للفتوى لفساد الزمان (رد المحتار) قال العلامة ابن عابدين (قولنا بعدم جوازه اصلا) هذه رواية الحسن عن ابى حنيفة و هذا اذا كان لها ولى و لم يرض به قبل العقد فلا يفيد الرضا بعده بحرو اما اذا لم يكن لها ولى فهو صحيح نافذ مطلقا كما ياتى.
