Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Asalamalaikum Wa Rehmatullahi Wa Barkatu..

Is Wearing Laccha(gold ornament of black balls) prohibited for muslim womens? As non-muslims wear it after marriage for theirs good n long lasting relationship with there husband.I know that only Allah is goin to save our relations n not that ornament, but if we wear just as ornament with no other intention is it ok..?Because i have seen most of the muslim womens wear it after marriage, so juz wanna know about it..

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is our belief that all good and bad is ultimately with the will of Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala.

If it is a custom to wear the  Laccha with the belief that the Laccha has a direct impact on a good marriage, then it is prohibited to wear the Laccha even though one may not have the same belief as those who wear the Laccha with the wrong belief.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salam) said that person who imitates a nation is from among them.[1]

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
