Asslamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, MY question is about skin treatment. My son has very rear skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa. He was born with this disease and doctors said their is no cure for this disease. I went to one of the muslim homeopatic doctor and he asked me to warm my urine and cool it down and then use cotton buds and put on my son skin and let it dry for 60 min and then wash his body. This is the first time I heard about skin treatment with urine. Please guide me and let me know if this kind a treatment is OK in Islam…. Jazak Allah

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
May Allah, Most Merciful grant your son shifa’. Ameen.
To use the urine as treatment will be permissible only with the following conditions:
1. Prescribed by a doctor
2. This is the only medical treatment available.
3. It is used as per the instruction of the Doctor.
” وقال أبو يوسف رحمه الله: يجوز للتداوى لقصّة عرنيّين”
(تبيين الحقائق, ج:1, ص: 97, دار الكتب العلمية)
واما كلمات المتأخرين من الحنفيّة فيه فمضطرب. فقال في البحرالرائق في كتاب الرضاع ( 3/223) وانظر التفصيل في رد المحتار من الانجاس(1/194) وفي البحر (1/115و116) : ولا يخفى بالمحرّم لايجوز في ظاهر المذهب و في ردّالمحتار جوازه عند أبي يوسف رحمه الله وفي النهاية عن الذخيرة: يجوز إن علم فيه شفاء ولم يعلم دواء آخر ……فلعلّ في اصل المذهب تفصيلا خرّجه المشائخ …فهذا يدلّ على لتخريجات المشائخ أصلا في المذهب. وإنّ هناك تفصيلا وإن كان المذهب على ظاهره لا يحتمل هذا التفصيل. والله اعلم.”

“وحاصل ما ذكره أن مشايخ الحنفية أفتوا بقول أبى يوسف رحمه الله في جواز التداوي فيما إذا لم يعلم الطبيب له دواء آخر “
