Alcohol is produced and boils off when baking bread. Is it legal to cook with alcohol if it boils off?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Yeast produces carbon dioxide and ethanol (AKA alcohol) in the bread-making process. However, the alcohol boils and/or evaporates off while it is being baked. So the question is whether or not it is okay to use alcohol for cooking if it will evaporate or boil off during the cooking process, leaving the taste?

Answer

It is not permissible to cook in alcohol even if it evaporates in the process.
