Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Working under a Hakim/Boss/Sir as Mahkoom/employee. If one’s boss/sir/hakim orders him for a task that is illegal in Islam then what should he do. Also what if the task is a minor sin and if it is a great sin. JazakAllah.

Answer

In principle, there is no obedience to the creation if the is disobedience to the Creator.

Therefore, in view of the above principle, it is incorrect to obey Hakim, Boss, etc. if there is disobedience to Allah. It will be incorrect to obey them in major and minor sins.
