Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) taught us Tashahhud of Salaat and Tashahhud of
need, i.e. what should be read on different occasions which includes Nikah.
The Tashahhud of Salaat mentioned is the Attahiyyaat that we read in our
Salaat and Tashahhud of need is the one which is read at the time of Nikahs.

It begins with a Masnoon Khutbah and thereafter three Aayaats of the noble
Qur’aan are recited; a) Aayat No.102 of Surah Aali Imraan, Aayat No.1 of
Surah Nisaa and Aayat No.70 of Surah Ahzaab.
