Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘Dua after Fardh Salaat is
accepted. Congregational Dua is also proven from the Shariáh. In view of the
above, congregational Dua after Fardh Salaat is permissible. However, it is
not compulsory i.e. it cannot be imposed. Neither can one condemn an
individual if he did not participate in the congregational Du’a. Du’a can be
made audibly and/or softly.

To pass the hands over the face after Du’aa is mentioned in authentic
Ahaadith. (Tirmidhi vol.2)
