Can women use hair removal cream?

I heard from one of my relatives that…Armpit and pubic hair of females are to be shaved only… and it is forbidden to use hair removing creams to remove them. Is it true?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for females to use hair removing cream to remove underarm and pubic hair.[1][2]
